1 - Water deliberately let in at the head regulator (i) for escapage through silt ejectors, scouring escapes or waterways, and over canal spillways to wash ice, weeds and other floating material, and (ii) for temporary increases in irrigation supplies or for other uses, such as for nearby new constructions. 2 - See 3494.
